Shakespeare of Harlem
Nina produces with Opera on Tap Boston, Shakespeare of Harlem, a concert celebrating the life, work, and enduring influence of Langston Hughes. The program weaves Hughes’ poetry and prose with art songs by composers such as Margaret Bonds and Florence Price, alongside the voices of his contemporaries, including Georgia Douglas Johnson and Countee Cullen.
Voices That Endure: Art Songs of the Harlem Renaissance
Nina will perform her self-produced recital, Voices That Endure, in collaboration with Rhys Burgess, piano at Ingleside at King Farm. This program explores the monumental contributions of Black American poets and composers during the Harlem Renaissance.
Lucy- Treemonisha- Scott Joplin
Nina portrays Lucy in Scott Joplin’s Treemonisha, making her MainStage debut at Washington National Opera. This show will be directed by Denyce Graves and conducted by Kedrick Armstrong.
Laffont Competition: Mid-Atlantic Regional
Nina was recently named a winner of the Capital District in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, and she competes in the Midatlantic Regional in Dekelboum Hall at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.
Gretel - Hansel and Gretel - Maryland Opera Children's Festival
Nina will perform Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel as part of Maryland Opera’s Children's Festival.

Sounds of the Season
Nina rejoins Maryland Opera for “Sounds of the Season,” a holiday tradition featuring the end of Act 1 of La Bohème, the most famous Christmas Eve in opera, and other operatic and seasonal favorites. Make sure to dress for our ugly holiday sweater contest to win a bottle of wine!

Soprano Soloist- Mozart’s Requiem
Nina will perform the Soprano solos in Mozart’s Requiem and Handel’s Ode for St. Cecelia’s Day.
Aurore- A Bayou Legend- William Grant Still
Nina debuts with Opera Vermont as Aurore in William Grant Still’s A Bayou Legend.
This beautiful, lyrical, emotional piece examines the human condition as it grapples with both earthly and celestial concepts, as well as probing the nature of how far we are willing to go to achieve our desired result - and the consequences of those actions.
Summer in the Squares
Nina rejoins Maryland Opera for “Summer in the Squares” with a program featuring works by Mozart, Verdi, Bernstein, and more! Get outside and enjoy a beautiful night of glorious singing!

Nina was recently named a winner of the St. Louis District in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, and she competes in the Midwest Regional at the Ethical Society in St. Louis, MO.
